BONJOUR my fellow readers.!~ i'm gonna blog about my lovely french escapade already. pictures will be up in the next post. =D

the trip i went was to france, and together with me were my parents and younger bro, not forgetting 2 other families from my estate which consist of 12 pax, and 1 pair of middle-aged couple, who were auntie lydia's hubby's business partner. so, the flight itself was indeed a very long one. although the plane touched down 55 minutes earlier than expected time, my butts almost split. and since we landed earlier, we waited at the CHG airport in Paris for an hour or two before meeting our tour director, Jonathan Holburn.

for the first few days, i suffered from serious jet lagging due to the 7h difference in timing between the two countries. so yup, we checked in to Hilton Paris La Defense Hotel, afterwhich, we were out to the mall for lunch as well as to the supermarket for groceries. we had chinese food for lunch~ and the reason i'm saying this is because for the following days we always had french food, which we were so not used to it, that we had to eat cup noodles when we are back in the hotel lor. poor thing right.? so ok, back to the after lunch thing, we went back to the hotel, and we had a welcoming ceremony at the hotel's bar. then we had more people joining the 18 of us. most of them were ang moh couples from places like Australia, Canada, USA. and all were on a long long holiday of at least a month.~ so good life man. so yup, at night, we took a tram up to the hilltop of Montmarte, and i swear the weather is so god damn chilly la. i'm so wrapped up like a michelin man and i still feel damn cold.~ then we had dinner, whereby we tried their yummy french onion soup. then we cruised along the Seine River, the scenery is of cuz, chio la, but was too shagged to enjoy the beautiful sight. and that's the first time, i saw eiffel tower. after fixing my puzzle of that for so long, i finally get to see it in real life. happy~ =D

2nd day, we went to Annecy, where we visited one of the lakes in the french alps, and also the little streets there. stayed in Novotel Atria Centre for the night. 3rd day, we went to Grenoble, and it was snowing there.! let it snow let it snow let it snow.!~ and i saw rainbow there as well. very chio and it's been so long since i last saw one. we had snowball fights with Jonathan and the neighbour kids, pretty fun.~ we went past the vast winter sports region and travelled towards Sisteron on the Route Napolean. we went walking around small little towns again, but there wasn't much things to see since it was a sunday and most shops were not open for business. Novotel Aix-en-Provence for the night, and we had cup noodles with egg that night.~

Day 4~ we went to Fragonard Perfumery at Grasse, where we saw people mixing the perfumes and doing soap moulding. very interesting to me, cuz i'm one perfume lover, yet i don't know how it was made. we also went to Saint Paul, where most of the shops were art galleries. then we continued on our journey to nice, before that we stopped by the world famous casino, monte carlo. and yes, for the first time in my life, i stepped into a casino.! song.~ although i didn't play anything la, but at least i get to watch and see how a real casino looks like ma. and hor, monte carlo is full of rich people lor. what i saw were cars like rolls royce, ferrari, bentley, slk. all chio cars leh. rawrrrrr. so much money donate some to me la. T__T nice is a very chio chio chio place near the mediterranean sea. and it's a shopping paradise with high end labels everywhere.~ that night we went out for italian food, and the portion they serve is damn huge.!~ and it's not nice hor.! zhen shi de. stayed at Boscolo Park Hotel for 2 nights in nice. Out for shopping on Day 5~ and everybody should have heard before Louis Vuitton in france is cheaper than Singapore by alot alot right.? so i got myself one too.~ continued shopping and for lunch, we were back in the hotel to have cup noodles again. =( then, we headed out for an optional tour at eze village, where we saw a fabulous view of france's pretty sunset. we had dinner at chez simon. the teenagers and kids had a very very good bonding session that night with the ang moh people.

Day 6~ a visit to Cannes, where many hotel palaces and the film festival centre were located at. if you watched mr bean's holidays, he went to the beach there, and the view is very awesome de lor. but when i go there, it's not as chio as i expected la. so abit disappointed about that. then we went to Ste. Maxime, where we cruised to St Tropez. lunch was an unforgettable one, cuz we bought took away sandwiches from sandwich bar~ and sat right in the middle of the park to have our roti.!~ after that we travelled to Marseille, today's france's second biggest city. we went to a church which is 1 century old or ard there, and it had a golden statue of the virgin mary. Mercure Marseille Prado Hotel for the night.

Day 7~ went to Marseille's port, where we stopped by to see their local fish market, and the seafood they sell were from the fishermen who came back after their fishing trip. very very fresh~ we headed to the roman city of arles and saw the romanesque architecture at the cathedral of saint trophime. saw the roman arena as well. some wine tasting for the day, and then journeyed on to avignon to see the 14th century palace of the popes. stayed in Mercure Cite des Papes Hotel, out for a night stroll along the old town before turning in.

Day 8~ after breakfast, we went for a walk along the pont du gard bridge. france's architecture is really damn chio de. 3 storey somemore, how they build until so nice.? back to avignon to have lunch. and and and, we had vietnamese food.! delicious yummilicious and whatever licious you can describe, cuz we haven't had any asian food for the longest time. and prawn mee never taste so good before~ LOL. we headed to Lyon, the city located at the confluence of the saone and rhone rivers. Park and Suites Part Dieu for the night. my best hotel stay cuz got two queen sized beds and kitchen.~ was down with package illness of fever, flu, and cough.

Day 9~ went past burgundy, where we had wine tasting once again. this time it's more like a wine cellar, a bigger one. but heck, i'm not interested in wine la. we also went to their market at the town square. it started drizzling when we were having our lunch, and once again, i thought i almost froze to death. so anyway, we headed back to paris, and stayed in Hilton Paris La Defense again~ out for famous cabaret show, moulin rogue. everything's so fab, especially all the bling costumes. =D even though i feel that the nudity is quite unnecessary.~ HAHA.

Day 10~ early in the morning we went to the Palace of Versailles, some of the places in there were converted to museums, so basically, it's like going to china and seeing the thrones, bed, and stuffs like that la. or maybe i don't know how to appreciate all that.? LOL. after that, i went to visit my favourite out of everything, EIFFEL TOWER.! this time, i get to take the elevator up to the second level of the tower, and see beautiful france.!~ exhilarated and no words can describe my feeling when i was up there.~ did some city sightseeing tour, and window shopped. went to LV once again, this time a 5 storey one, with many many tourists from all over the world. and it totally spoiled my mood to shop cuz i hate crowded places. so yup, we went to chez clement for farewell dinner.

Day 11~ woke up early in the morning and headed to CHG airport for our departure to Singapore. the flight back was horrendous, cuz i couldn't sleep again, jet lag la~ so what to do, chiong movies lor. let me see what i chiong ar~ CHOCOLATE, MR BEAN'S HOLIDAYS, RED CLIFF, BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA. and the rest of the time, i was trying to sleep, arbo is eating, and also, disturbing my bro and mum.~ and yes, while i was looking out of the windows from the plane, i saw the swiss alps, and it makes me sososo feel like going to switzerland.~ shall wait till the day comes bah. =D

yup, that's a very lengthy entry. but it's for my own memories sake. in case one day i got the chance to return to france, i still remember alot of details there.~

when i'm back in singapore, yes, i log in to my audi acc, and got a very huge surprise.~ thanks zhuzhu for chionging my acc till world star. loves~ <3

and also, a big big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MAN OF MY LIFE, TJIA PEI XUAN.! legal 18 now. song right.? m18 movies, and you can drink your si ren vodka and police won't catch you liao. wahahas.! for her birthday, girlfriends and i went to holland v where we had sushi tei for dinner, after which kent ridge park for romancing session. love you my man.!~ muacks.!

i'll be away to malaysia coming saturday with my mama and bro. gosh, mia again. i'll be back on 18th morning. maybe will upload the pics tmr. so au revoir.~
