during this holiday, life for me had been rather routine - weekdays spent at home watching dramas after dramas, while weekends accompanying baby.
my everyday life is bored to the max till i went to watch the classic and old school drama, meteor garden I & II. find it really amusing watching shows dated back so long ago - seeing how much rainie changed, and both vaness and jerry.
been staying at home almost everyday, and this makes the relationship between mu cheng and i turn out really good. i find that she super dote on me nowadays. also, i've been shopping online rather frequently, and i swear it's mad addictive and i'll just buy and buy. very not friendly to my pocket. :(
and recently, baby brought me out on kite-flying trip again. instead of west coast which we initially plan to go, we went to east coast this time round.
pretty ecp
random photo of a father bringing his kids to fly kite
it's always baby who flew the kite up, no contribution from me. :(
DaTou's friend
evidence of using up all the thread
hello baby.! :D

just ignore his stupid finger
we went vivo after that. caught toy story 3. randomly, spotted dalang at mini toons, and baby got them for me. thank you baby, i love it ttm. <3
school's reopening soon. moving over cck campus once the new term start. i'm excited, but kinda not looking forward to the new school term cuz i bet it's gonna be crazily hectic. till then.
and i love baby much much.! :D

CAMBODIA TRIP
greetings again.!
i'm back, and i must say, thinking back of how much i didn't enjoy myself there, i think i probably experience quite alot though. i thought to myself that it's a blessing to live right here in singapore, with a nice house, nice environment, everything. cambodia was the most 'lag behind' country i've ever been to so far. most people weren't rich, and they really worked hard to earn themselves a living. i see beggars and crippled everywhere, wherever i go. it's just a very sad image to me, and that i can't do anything because there's just too many of them. another thing that i abhor is, the weather. as though singapore isn't hot enough, it's much worst there. even with my huhu with me, i still feel like i'm gonna die of heatstroke any moment. terrible weather made me came back looking like a cambodian woman now, mad tanned. ok la, personal thoughts shared, time for pictures. :D
DAY 1
flight to cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh. afterwhich we were brought to Wat Phnom by the tour guide.

and then to the national museum. inside is basically stone artefacts of pre-angkor and angkor era. love how well those red roofs blend into the clear blue sky.

after that, visited the independence monument.

took a short nap at the hotel and then went to the royal palace.

because it's royal palace, no shorts was allowed and i was asked to wear a sarong looking pants. mad funny one. i got take photo, but don't want to show you all. cuz look very kuku.!
took an optional tour to cruise along mekong river since there's still lots of time left before the day could end.

we went to nagaworld located somewhere near our hotel, and i accompanied my parents into the casino. legally, of course, as long as you're 18. 2nd time stepping into the casino, but different experience this time round. played banker player with mummy. woohooooo~
ended the day soon after, and i feel it's a pity that we couldn't stay in phnom penh for another day cuz i wanted to visit choeung ek killing field. :(
DAY 2
travelled on a 6h bus journey to siem reap. the stupid bus is mad packed with people and it's mad dirty de lo. i spotted a tiny baby cockroach and i swear i almost died of fright when i saw it. lucky my granny saved my day and kick the stupid baby roach all the way to the front and it's out of my sight already. mad long journey sit till my butt gonna split.
when we finally arrive, we were brought to artisan d' angkor, where local arts and handicrafts were made by disabled people, all beautifully hand crafted.

afterwhich we went to tonle sap lake floating village. people here lead a very simple life, shall let the pictures do the talking.

Two pretty and lovely local kids

On top of one of the floating restaurants

randomly, a photo of my mum and i with the mini bus that took us around siem reap.

went to have our dinner, and visited one of the massage parlours for a 1.5h foot massage. turned in really early for the day.
DAY 3
rise and shine, we had the angkor temples tour. firstly, a visit to the magnificent angkor wat.

ta prohm to see humongous tree roots. mad amazing one.

bayon temple, angkor thom. somehow or rather, i find it almost similar to angkor wat. i mean, they just look alike, don't they.?

terrace of elephants.

victory gate, angkor thom.

finally, climb up the steep steep hill to bakheng mountain temple. initially was to watch sunset, but weather wasn't good. so yup, wasted trip up there. mad lots of people anyway.

day ended again.
DAY 4
free and easy till 4pm. we decided to take the tuktuk out to have a city tour.
on the tuktuk.

spices selling at old market.

idk what temple is this, the tuktuk driver randomly drove us there.

our last cambodian meal.

and with the tuktuk driver.

and that ended our 4d3n trip to cambodia. as you can see from the pictures, if you are those people who can really appreciate history dated back long long time ago, love to visit temples, don't mind the scorching hot sun, and would like to experience what is a real 3rd world country, cambodia's the place.
overall, i feel that it's an eye opener for me. but i guess i won't want to go there again, until it become more developed in the years to come.
alright, shall end this entry now. :)
